Career Education Programs of Study

Programs of Study are a sequence of Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses that a school district offers to students. The approved programs of study represent course offerings a school provides to assist in preparing students for college and career options. The clickable graphic below provides details on the school districts with approved programs of study in areas of career fields, clusters, and/or pathways. Selecting a career field area below provides a list of Nebraska school districts with approved programs of study in career cluster areas. Additional information about career pathways approved within a cluster area are available by clicking the career cluster hyperlink.

Pursuant to the memo released on 05/02/2012, the Nebraska Department of Education extracted district offered Program of Study course sequences from the Student Grades template of the Nebraska Student and Staff Records System (NSSRS). Two extracts are available for review. The first extract (left) displays district offered Programs of Study using the initial (old) State Model Programs of Study (POS) course sequences. The initial course sequence guide is available for review here. The second extract (right) displays district offered Programs of Study using the revised (new) State Model Programs of Study (POS) course sequences. The revised course sequence guide is available for review here.
