ACT Results

In Nebraska, the ACT results included more students statewide because students in eight districts participated in the Nebraska ACT Pilot Project by providing the test to all students in grade 11. As a result the percent of graduates tested increased from 78% to 84% for 2013. This factor may impact the state, district, and school averages. More than 3800 students were involved in the study from Alliance, Columbus, Gering, Hastings, Lincoln, Scottsbluff, Sidney, and South Sioux City.

'Core or More' results correspond to students self-reporting taking four or more years of English AND three or more years of mathematics, social studies and natural sciences.
'Core or More' and 'Less than Core' will not add up to the 'Number of Students Tested' due to student non-response.

Past ACT results should not be compared to the 2013 results because this year’s results include more students than past years. For the first time, scores of students requiring special accommodations were included and reported. The 2013 results create a new baseline on which comparison may be made in future years.
